Just when you thought Toy Story couldn’t get any better, they did! Now you can go to infinity and beyond, with Disney Toy Story Space Toy Line By Mattel!!!

(yes, my daughter got into my eyebrow pencil…)

First off, I was so very excited when I was contacted and asked if I would like to be a “Disney Mattel Insider“!!!! Oh yes, I would thank you! Me and my family are Disney and Mattel freaks! We love the toys, movies and more, who doesn’t?

So, the first line of goodies that was sent to us was the Toy Story Space Toy Line. When the box arrived, my son was at school, but my daughter was here. I let her dig into the box and pull out all the goodies! Oh she was very happy to do that :)

When my son got home, the fun really began! My kids tore open the packages (with my help of course!) and soon my livingroom was turned into space! My son grabbed the Zurg Space Figure (that has his own space cannon!!!) and my daughter grabbed up good old Buzz Lightyear, for some wonderful space adventure fighting!

 

Poor Buzz was losing this battle so I took it upon myself to save the day with the trusty Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Spaceship Commander Station and whipped it through the air to grab up Buzz and bring him down to earth for safety! It nearly worked, until Zurg flew through the air to meet the spaceship in mid land!! Buzz popped out of the spaceship and took Zurg down once and for all! Later I saw Zurg and Buzz playing together in the spaceship commander station, so I think they are all good now ;)

Man, this new toy line is so much fun. The Spaceship Commander Station is really cool. Lots of fun features and things to do. It opens up and becomes a space station, then closes up shop when it is time to fly into infinity and beyond! It is certainly an action packed portable playset that any child, boy or girl, would love to have.The inside part has a complete command center with four different play zones that include a prison (Zurg goes here A LOT), observation deck, and mission control launch center! There is also a space rover vehicle included and room for a 6 inch Buzz Lightyear Figure!

My sons favorite feature on the Spaceship Commander Station is the PA amplifier!!! Oh yes, it does have one :) My son and daughter took turns (though not so patiently..) and rattled out commands for Buzz and Zurg to do. Man my kids really kept these two figures BUSY BUSY BUSY! If that were not enough, you can even shoot out missles from the stealth side launches and lights and sounds make this whole spaceship come to life!!

 

The Disney Toy Story Space Figures are really cool too! There is an assortment of the toy story figures that are dressed up for space! Buzz Lightyear and Woody both feature their own unique spacesuits, helmet and blaster. Rex looks very ferocious in a helmet and spacesuit with claw like hands. Zurg carries his own space cannon while Zurgbot includes two extra bots for backup! Now the battle over the Galactic Alliance can begin!!!

I could go on and on about all the wonderful things these toys can do and how much fun your kids will have with these, but, I don’t want to run my mouth any longer, I think you get the picture, right???

Aaahh!!! Real Monsters (Review & Giveaway!)

Are you afraid of monsters? I am not anymore, but heavens, my children are! They love it when I tell them stories about monsters, ghosts, goblins and scary stories, right before bed! Ha! They get under the covers and I tell them a frightening tale or two!

I am sure you have all heard of or remember the Real Monsters. They are adorably but yet kinda scary, little monsters! Me and mykids received the Shout! Factory presents: Aaahh!!! Real Monsters season 1 on DVD and we all just love it. This is also a Nickeloden favorite and is set to debut on October 4th!

I love all the monsters and think they are really fun. My kids really like them too and this is one entertaining DVD. Starting Halloween early is something me and my kids ALWAYS do, I just love me some Halloween! So, at the beginning of September until you know, Halloween, we watch scary movies, cartoons and listen to songs and of course bake and do crafts too, all in the name of Halloween! The Real Monsters fit right into our household :)

Chicken Soup Recipe

Yep, just like the title says, Chicken Soup recipe!!! And let me tell you it is REALLY good. Since the weather is turning a bit chillier, what better way to celebrate than with a hot cup of homemade Chicken Soup???

(I realize my camera does not take very good pictures, so this soup does not get the justice it deserves..)

Chicken Soup Recipe

A delicious chicken soup to soothe your chilly, achey bones!
Ingredients
  • 3 Cups of Water
  • 1 Box of Chicken Broth
  • 2 Celery Stalks diced
  • 1 Large Carrot cut up
  • 4-5 medium Mushrooms cut up
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Johnnys Salt (to taste)
  • 1 lb of chicken breast, chopped
  • 1/2 bag of egg noodles
Instructions
  1. Brown chicken in sauce pan/skillet and add Johnnys salt to taste
  2. Boil 3 cups of water and 1 box of chicken broth in pot
  3. Add 1/2 bag of egg noodles (let cook and soften)
  4. Add chicken (cooked of course)
  5. add celery, carrots, mushrooms, onions and stir

Mega Bloks: Blok Squad Construction Set Review

We really like Mega Bloks around our home. Blok Squad is from Mega Bloks and it has some really cool playsets for kids ages 5 and up!

Since my son loves to play with cars a lot and haul around rocks and little toys with his little trucks and cars, I thought the Blok Squad Construction Set would be great for him to try out!

I always forget how time consuming it is, to put together these things! They are super fun to do, but you must have patience!!!!! I am not good at patience :) My son came home from school and that is right when this toy arrived! Thankfully grandma was there to keep my two kids occupied while I put together this playset. It took me about an hour!

Just make sure you follow the directions to a t! There are illustrations to show you exactly where each piece goes, so that you are not left with a few pieces. These turned out super cute and my son loves them. They are not very easy to break, either, meaning the pieces don’t come apart super easy, so that is great. I don’t want all my hard work to come undone with a single drop to the floor! Ugh!

Crayola Mp3 2GB Player Review

I figured that since my little boy is now in kindergarten, he should be able to have some big kid stuff now. He really likes music, so we were thrilled when we were able to review the Crayola Mp3 2GB Player!

 

This is really cool and makes my boy feel big! He now can listen to music, all on his own. His daddy downloaded music for him and my son  got to pick and choose which songs he wanted! It is so funny that he has song favorites! The ear phones clip on your ear, they do not go into your ear, so this was nice for my son. They stay on good too. It also has two jacks for your headsets, so you can share with someone else. My hubby and son both listen to music on this together, so cute!

The Crayola Mp3 Player can store up to 96 hours of music, approximately 1,800 songs! It also features a USB mass storage to copy and store data files from a computer. The LCD screen allows you to scroll through songs, read lyrics and set up the menu. Really easy to use, but my son needs help on this still. You can even record your own voice, which my son LOVES!

It includes earphones, necklace loop, USB cable, instruction manual, and Music Express software. The Music Express converts your CDs to mp3 format and lets you find and organize your music, burn CDs, and more!

Cupid Intimates: Miraclesuit Review & Giveaway

We all have our trouble spots on our bodies, and if you don’t, well then good for you! But, I certainly do, especially after having two little kids! My body has certainly changed, goodness it has!

Since my ‘trouble’ spots are my tummy and butt, I selected the Miraclesuit® Shape with an Edge® Hi-Waist Long Leg in black, to review. The material is very sturdy type material, not a lot of room for me to muffin out of. Putting it on was a chore, I was actually sweating! But once you get it over the hips it is smooth sailing from there. Thank God!

It certainly made me go down a whole size, I kid you not. My jeans all of a sudden were big for once and not tight, so that was very nice. No more muffin top over those jeans either, so now I can wear tighter shirts and not baggier ones. Going to the bathroom though, and wearing this, is not real fun. Like I said before, it is a bit hard to get over the hips, but once you do, it is fine. But, every body IS different, so that is just my experience with the Miraclesuit, yours may be different!

Halloween Costumes At Low Wholesale Prices! (Review)

Oh for heavens sakes, you KNOW Halloween is just around that bend! Sheesh! You need to get on it and order that Halloween costume already, cuz if you don’t, your child will have to wear the same one he wore last year, and it is too dang SMALL!!!

What are you to do??? Well, I have a great suggestion. I know of a great place that sells cheap costumes at low wholesale prices! You certainly can’t beat that with a witches broom, or can you?? Perhaps, but that is beside the point at hand. Anyways, they have some great Halloween costumes for boys!

 

My son was sent a really cute costume to review. He was sent the Bakugan Battle Brawlers Dragonoid Costume, well, because he just loves dragons so much! This costume comes with the jumpsuit with 3D dimensional foam shoulder pieces, detachable wings and a character mask, which we did NOT get….

It is great quality and I was surprised at how well it fits my son! The wings are cool, that was one of the main reasons my son wanted this costume, and they stay on great, with all of his flapping around the house. My son is thrilled with the costume, as any young child would be, I am sure!

Who doesn’t enjoy a great candle a burnin’ away in your home? I know I love ‘em. But, sometimes burning candles can get a bit messy with all that soot, huh? TIP: I have also pulled out some little molds and poured the wax into them, put them in the freezer and a few minutes later, I have really cute little wax molds that my kids LOVE!! Or you can use them as decorations in a pretty bowl on the counter or sprinkled around your home :)

Quagmire ColorFusion Shirt Review!

Remember those shirts back in the 90′s, that changed color with your body heat? I actually had a sweatshirt, a purple one, that my now hubby would wear (LOL!) and I even have a picture of him, somewhere, wearing it! Oh the good ole’ days…Well, maybe not, because they are back :) And they are as cool as EVAH!

My adorable son received the cool green colored Quagmire ColorFusion Shirt to review. It was really cold when he initially put it on, but then I had a grand idea, go stand outside in the partial sun and see if it starts to change color a bit… and it did!!!

See?? I am flippin’ BRILLIANT!

Then I had him come in so you could see it better..

Then, if that was not enough, we BLEW on it!!!!!

Then, I thought, why the heck not try my hand print? And that was totally cool!!

 

 

Man, you pair this shirt with that mood changing nail polish I posted about earlier, and you will have a serious outfit going on! To some, it may appear that this shirt has some bleach stains on it. That is what it looks like to me, when it starts changing colors, but I think it is too cool that it does change colors, so that did not bother me so much.

These are made from 100% Cotton jersey material and are super soft and comfy. These shirts will start changing colors at 68 degrees farenheit, so they will work the best on warmer days! This product is meant to last and are totally machine washable AND you can dry them in your dryer too :) Oh, and don’t worry, the shirts/clothes are super safe, no bad stuff!
