Bissell Steam&Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner Review

Half of my home is wooden flooring and the other half is, of course, light-colored carpeting. So, keeping my floors super clean, with two little MESSY children, can prove to be a huge chore.

Usually I am down on my hands and knees cleaning the wooden floors because I am so particular on how I want them cleaned and any missed spots drive me INSANE..

When I heard about the Bissell Steam&Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner, I just had to give it a whirl. No more ruining my knees on that hard wood floor! Ugh. That really can start to hurt! I received the Steam&Sweep and was pretty happy to try it right away.

It comes with some assembly required, but super easy to put together. All you need is a Philips screwdriver. In about 5 minutes is was ready for use. Next, you simply take the water canister off of the machine and add filtered water to it. Screw on the cap and push it back onto the steam mop. Next you push the on button and wait until the light on the handle turns on. When it turns on, it is ready for use!

This is really a neat product because you can sweep your floors while you are steam cleaning them! The sweeper does a great job at picking up little crumbs off of my floors and the steam mop part does a fabulous job on cleaning my floors and all those super hard spots that won’t come off unless I sit on my knees and scrub them off that way. But, this steam mop does it! So happy about that!

Now, when you first turn on the steam&sweep and use it, it will make a clicking type sound, but after about 30 seconds, it will stop and be gone. So don’t think it is broken, it is normal for it to do that! I love how long the cord is on this steam&sweep. I can plug it in in one outlet and I can reach both rooms in my home to clean them without having to unplug and plug back in! The cord is 28′ long!

I think I had to change the water canister (add more water to it) about 3 times before my floors were all done. The water canister holds 17.5 ozs of water. Super easy to do though, so I was not annoyed at all. It sure steams a lot and makes your floors warm :) And it dries fairly quickly. Now I really love that all you need is water. NO chemicals or anything! The steam cleans your floors and sanitizes them with just steam! How neat is that?

 

This steam&sweep comes with 2 microfiber mop pads that are super easy to put on the bottom of the steam&sweep. You simply press it on the bottom and it kind of velcros on to the bottom of it. When you are done mopping, just pull it off and throw it into the washing machine. Then you let it air dry!

The steam&sweep has a swivel head that allows for easier navigation. It does take some getting use to, but once you have used it a few times, the swivel head on it becomes very easy to use. It turns and swivels very easily.

Keeping Things Clean with Green Works Cleaning Products (Review)

I love a clean home, oh my do I ever! I swear I am constantly cleaning it in hopes that it will stay that way. Unfortunately it does not for long, hence why I am ALWAYS cleaning, sigh!

I keep things super clean with Green Works Cleaning products. I love these products. Before this review, I had already had a slew of their products in my home, so I know how they clean and I know that they work.

I received some great Green Works products to help me clean my home and my laundry! I received: Green Works® Naturally Derived Cleaning Wipes, Green Works® Naturally Derived All-Purpose Cleaner, Green Works® Laundry Detergent and Green Works® Naturally Derived Bathroom Cleaner.

 

The Green Works Naturally Derived Cleaning Wipes have been used pretty much on every object I own. I used it on the remote control for the t.v., to wipe down counters, clean up spots on my bathroom floor, cleaned door handles and phones and more! A very nice, clean scent and cleans everything I use it on, wonderfully. They are made with naturally derived ingredients, such as citric acid and wood fibers. That means they won’t give off harsh chemical fumes or leave behind harsh chemical residue.  And they can be thrown in compost bin after using, since they’re 100 percent biodegradable. These wipes are safe for use on most non-wood surfaces, including acrylic, fiberglass and vinyl.

The All Purpose cleaner is great too. I can use it on virtually any surface and it cleans like no other. It powers through grease, grime and dirt (you know, all those sticky little handprints??) and doesn’t leave behind any filmy residue. It is safe to use on multiple surfaces throughout the kitchen and bathroom, including counters, appliances, stainless steel, sealed granite, chrome, cooktop hoods, sinks and toilets. Talk about a mom’s best cleaning buddy :)

Green Works Laundry detergent cleans my laundry very well.  My clothes smell good, but it is very subtle, and they come out looking clean, which of course is why I wanted to wash them in the first place, right? I do still use a fabric softener, because this does not make my clothes soft like I like, but it does clean them nicely. This is dermatologist-tested for sensitive skin, which is great because both of my kids have super sensitive skin! It also has the powerful combination of naturally derived cleaning ingredients will leave laundry fresh and clean — without phosphates, optical brighteners or harsh chemical residue. The detergent is formulated for both standard and high-efficiency (HE) washers.

Last but certainly not least is the Green Works Naturally Derived Bathroom Cleaner. It cleans your bathroom so nicely, showers, tubs and toilets and leaves behind a pleasant scent. It attacks and tackles the tough to clean soap scum. The is made with plant- and mineral-based cleaning ingredients that power through soap scum, rust and hard water stains! I have not tried it out on rust or water stains, so I don’t know if it does that or not, but I do know that it does clean soap scum and that is my biggest thing in the bathrooms. Hate soap scum!

Transition Into Spring With These New Must-Haves! Giveaway Too

The Nubar Vegan Polishes are nice too. I received four different ones. Two clear and two white and cream-colored ones. Great colors for springtime. I don’t usually wear colored polish on my nails, just clear or I will do the french manicure. I decided to go ahead and just paint my nails in the cream for the day! I painted my daughters white :) It was definitely different!
