Bedroom Furniture? What Is That??

Perhaps I never needed bedroom furniture, besides a bed without a frame on the floor? I mean, we have a VERY old and barely workable white (well, yellowed through those years) dresser and a couple of those adorable speaker tables for night stands, but that is as far as it goes for bedroom furniture in our home.

Going to friends houses, I now realize that yes, people DO have bedroom furniture, we are just not one of those people…

My dresser could very well be haunted too…

Our Master bedroom could be sooo nice. It has vaulted ceilings, soo tall, and the wall space is amazing! If only I had a few good ideas and MONEY, I could possibly do something fantastic with this room. But then I would need master bedroom furniture, and I am no good at choosing this.. no good! I would end up with ANOTHER old stereo speaker or something similar. I seriously need help in that department.. sigh.

Now you have all seen my bed, in another post (That is IF you are loyal and constantly read my blog…) and my bed does NOT have a headboard..or a frame.. That is just two of the things I do need for my bed. Lots of pondering has been going on, regarding that! Whoosh! So many cutesy, rich looking, fun and just plain outstanding headboards are out there. I did see Sleigh Beds for sale at a garage sale one time, and thought, those look very cool. One was wood and the other was wood and metal and I liked that one the best. But the one below, now I LOVE that…

I would be WEAK in my knees if this was MY room, MY bed.. Oh. My. Goodness….

 Kay, now that I KNOW what kind of bed I am getting, seriously, I am going to get that bed I swear (after I sell my soul so I can actually acquire the money needed for a bed, that nice..)!! Now I have to figure out what kind of night stand tables to get, dressers (cuz I must have two of them, maybe three and throw out that yellow stained white one…..) then my room will be complete. And then when I have people over, I don’t have to close my door in humiliation!

The cottage style bedroom furniture is what one of my best friends has. Now hers is VERY expensive, and I know I could never pay or get what she has, but, there are also AFFORDABLE pieces that I could DO. You just have to look in all the right places. If only I could find those places…

Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Review and Giveaway!

Since we will be going to Disneyland next weekend (WOOT!), I really needed a lite weight stroller for my daughter (and son, if he needs it..), to bring with us. I started searching Kolcraft, since it is a favorite of ours, and found a great stroller for our trip!

The stroller I received, is the Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller. I was impressed with how easy it was to put together, hey, not bad! What was really funny, was that MY 5 YEAR OLD SON put most of it together! LOL. He wanted to do it, so I let him and low and behold, the boy got it done!! Of course I had to help with putting the little pins into the back wheels to keep them on, but other than that, it was my boy who put this together. So VERY easy to put together! This is a BIG mom plus!!!

 

Once the stroller was put together, I added the little tray with cup holder and we were good to go! My daughter hopped in and we were off for a trip around our home! ALL day long, my daughter was in and out of this stroller. She brought her stuffed animals and blanket into it and had me prop her in front of the television. She really likes this stroller and that tells me, it is pretty comfortable for her then, yay!

 

Now for the person who will be pushing this stroller. It pushes with ease. It is smooth and effortless to turn and it turns great. No having to pull it back and forth to get one of the wheels aligned with the other one, to turn right, nope. This stroller turns well and pushes smoothly. I can also push it with one hand, if I need to, with ease.

The bottom part of the stroller, where you can put things, is spacious enough for us to  put a tiny cooler down there to carry our beverages at Disneyland. I can also put a medium-sized purse in their and our camera too! Great storage space. It also comes with a parent cup holder, which you can place on the stroller, securely! This is a great feature, since I will NEED to use this where we are going!

This stroller does recline, but not fully. Which is fine, it reclines enough for my daughter. The handle height is great, it is 39.5” measured from the ground to the middle of handle grip, so no hunching over to push this. However the handle cannot be adjusted.  The tray is removable and can easily be cleaned with soap and water and put back on or left off, your choice.

Chuck E. Cheese Has A New Pizza Recipe!

I remember going to Chuck E. Cheese NUMEROUS times as a child. I really don’t remember the pizza, because to be honest with you, the games I would be playing AFTER eating the pizza was what was on my mind. I am sure this is what is on EVERY kids mind, when they visit Chuck E. Cheese, right?

Now that I am older, I DO notice how the pizza tastes and I like a GOOD pizza. In the past, Chuck E. Cheese has NOT been known for their pizza, that is for sure. It was always too greasy for me, but of course I ate it anyways, heck we paid good money for it!

So, I was pretty excited to hear that Chuck E. Cheese has a NEW pizza recipe :) And boy was my family ready to try it out :) You see, we have a Chuck E. Cheese down the street from us, so this was exciting for the little ones!

I received a Guest Pass redeemable for a large pizza, four drinks and 30 game tokens! Perfect for our family of four (and then some!). We arrived and it was not busy, thank heavens! We got in line and were able to order immediately. We ordered half Canadian bacon and pineapple and half  pepperoni pizza. I also had to have my salad, which their salad bar by the way, is YUMMY!!!

When the pizza arrived, it looked really good. I noticed with the first bite, that the pizza did NOT have that really greasy texture that it use to have. It was very tasty and the cheese was delicious and not orange with tons of grease. The bottom of the pizza was crisp and not soggy. This pizza reminded me of Pizza Hut’s pizza. I did notice a huge difference in not only the look of the pizza when it arrived at our table,  but the taste. We only brought home two slices, so it was thoroughly enjoyed. And we actually WANTED to bring the rest of the pizza home, so you know it was good!

Do I recommend Chuck E. Cheese’s new pizza to you? Yes, you will be pleasantly surprised, that the pizza is so good!

How Often Do You Do It?

Okay dirty minds, that is NOT what I am talking about! Sheesh! I am talking about how often do you clean out your fridge and freezer? How often do you do it?

Me, I try and do this monthly. If I don’t, my goodness, things can get quite interesting to say the least. With two little kids and a hubby, I seriously have no clue what is hidden  in my fridge and freezers at times!

NOT My Fridge

One time I was cleaning out my freezer and found a toy dolly with no clothes on. Hmm. Okay. I dug deeper and found a little toy doggie. I told you I find some interesting things! I guess it makes cleaning my freezer a bit more exciting? I never know what I will find!!

Our freezer is just too small for us, it really is. We have the freezer on one side and the fridge on the other, you know, side by side deal (see it below). I would love to have a fridge on top and freezer on the bottom, like a Beko fridge freezer, that way I could have way more room then I do now.

Don’t get me wrong, my fridge is fabulous looking, it is stainless steele, but, It does need to have more space!!!

 

Here are some great tips I came across, to help you keep your fridge and freezer clean:

*When in doubt, Throw it OUT!!

*Clean your fridge with warm, sudsy water. You can add baking soda to the water and use a small toothbrush to get into all the crevices

*Make sure you pull out the produce drawers, where  alot of the yucky stuff usually sits, and clean that with warm, soapy water

*For the freezer, empty the ice tray into the sink and scrub it out, so you can have fresh ice

*On both the freezer and fridge, start cleaning from the top down. That way if any crumbs fall, you don’t have to reclean any of the lower areas (common sense though).

*Replace the boxes of baking soda every month if you can

The cookies taste pretty good. My hubby liked them more than me, however.  The Zone Daily Essentials are really great and make me feel like I have more energy.
