Loud Trains…

Totally random post, but sometimes I just have to get my wiggles out! Whoosh!

You see, the freeway that we always drive down to get ANYWHERE around here, has train tracks going parallel to it. So, sometimes when we are driving at night, here comes that big old train a barreling down the freeway next to us. It is so dang loud, yes, I can hear it, my window is usually open due to car sickness all the time..

The light on that train is sooooo bright too. It gets me and hubby angry sometimes, because we are driving home from some place and it is dark, then all of a sudden there is that BRIGHT train light shining right through us. UGH. Then, I remember one time my Dad took me to a train stop to meet my uncle and man those train horns whistle LOUDLY!

Maybe I am just against trains for some odd reason? I don’t know, but they  just don’t impress me all that much. Maybe back in the day, they would have, but now a days, nah.. Don’t get me wrong I see the need for them, but just don’t like how loud they are…

If the trains and their loudness was not enough, I went to the store one day and I kid you not, they had train horn kits for sale… OMG. Why? Perhaps some lunatic wants to buy them to make people like me suffer? UGH.

I was so happy to get out of that store only to look down, before I left the store, to see train horns for trucks sitting on a shelf just staring at me!! Heck no!! I shook my head and ran out!!

No more trains, no more loud horns and for heavens sakes, no train horns for trucks!!!!!

FLOR Styles: Perfect for Entry Ways, Nurseries and More! (Review)

My entry way was looking a bit bare. I was running every where trying to figure out what carpet I wanted to go in front of my front door. This is the first area my friends and family would see, when entering my home, and I wanted it nice and pleasing to look at!

I was introduced to FLOR and thought it was quite unique. Unique, because it comes in squares that you put together, to create the perfect carpet and design for your home. I had to give it a try!

 

I got to choose a pattern/carpet that I loved. I chose the Shadow Play in Sand. LOVE love love this!! When it arrived, it arrived in a heavy but tinier square box. Totally different that what I am use to! Usually when you order a carpet, it comes in a long heavy roll! Not this one! It was easy to pick up (though kind of heavy) and it was not bulky, which I loved. I simply carried the box to where I wanted my carpet placed and opened the box there!

Inside the box was my six squares of carpet, some round FLOR adhesive stickers and instructions. It looks confusing and time consuming, but it is not! I had my two little kids by my side, the whole time I was doing this and it took about 20 minutes for me to create my carpet.

You lay the carpet pieces out and make the design in them however you want. There is little arrows on the bottom of each carpet square to guide you along. You can choose to have the carpet tiles go in the same direction or you can make them go different direction for a unique design for your home.

 

Next, you are ready to put on the FLOR dots, the adhesive dots to help make the carpets stay together. They are non-toxic, so no worries there! You don’t need any nails, tacks or glue either! Just the FLOR dots! You start at one corner and work your way to the opposite end of the carpet. You will notice that there is tick marks on the FLOR dots that help you to put the dots on the carpets in the right places. This really comes in handy!

Next, you move the carpet squares into position, using the FLOR dots you just laid down. Press down, so that it is secured. Once you have placed all your FLOR dots and your carpet is complete, make sure you take a look at the carpet to make sure it is what you want! If you want to change anything, do it in the first few hours of placing the FLOR dots, as after that time the FLOR dots will be set and will be harder to change them out. And you are done! It is that easy!

This carpet has lots of padding on the back, so you will not need extra padding, it also is quite heavy, so it does not slip around at all. Also, if you need to move this carpet around, don’t worry! It won’t fall apart! It is strongly held together by the FLOR dots :) Now my entry way is complete! It has a beautiful carpet for everyone who enters to see and enjoy it as much as I am!!!

Zubels Handmade Knit Toys: Review And Giveaway!

Zubels are adorable, handmade knit toys. They are super cute and oh so comfy for little ones to hold onto! They are also organic and Eco-friendly, which is super nice!

I chose the London Collin Bunny. He is very cute and little. It will be perfect for my daughters little hands! Me and my son reviewed this as my daughter will be receiving this in her stocking.

 

 

He has adorable little blue eyes, he carries a yummy orange carrot and he is oh so soft! Very sweet little bunny doll, great for a boy or a girl.

Zubels uses 100% certified organic yarn, for their products. Zubels also uses minimal packaging, as you can see in the picture, so there is less waste. Zubels also uses eco-friendly low impact dyes which means they don’t contain toxic chemicals.

The only thing that I wish, is that their site was more user-friendly. I had to download some things that I wanted to view. I wish I could have just clicked on those things and I could be brought to that particular page. And, I wish that you did not have to view their online catalog to view their products. It would be much easier to have them on their site like other sites do. Those are my only complaints though!

FakeBake Flawless Self-Tanners Review and Giveaway!!!

If you read my blog, then you know I love me some sunless tanners! I have tried just about everyone there is out there and I keep coming back to FakeBake, because it looks the most real, to me.

Don’t get me wrong, there is many wonderful sunless tanners out there, there really is, but the FakeBake brand is by far, a really nice, and true looking sunless tanner brand. And, they have come out with some great new products, Beyond Bronze, that are amazing!

This time around, I was sent the Beyond Bronze Self-Tan Lotion, Beyond Bronze Self-Tanning Mousse and the FakeBake Airbrush Self-Tan.

 

I first used the FakeBake Beyond Bronze Self-Tan Lotion. This is the one in the pink tube, which is the “new formula”. You definitely need to use gloves with ALL self-tan products, unless of course you want tan palms! The Beyond Bronze is VERY dark in color. You smooth it on your skin, about a quarter size for my arms, and blend in quickly. As you are smoothing it on, it will be dark and streaky, but don’t worry! Just keep rubbing it in quickly and blending it in all over.

After the application, pull off the gloves and use an old moist rag to rub a tiny amount of the self-tanner to the tops of your hands and fingers. Put on a bit of lotion over the hands and knuckles and wrists to smooth out remaining color. After this application, you will be a bronzed goddess right away! In the morning you can rinse off any residual self-tanning cream and then of course you will be a bit lighter than you were the night before. But it is very believable and pretty! Oh, and it does not smell bad when it is developing, like some sunless tanners. This sunless tanner lasted on me about 3 days and then it faded like a  natural tan.

 

The next one I used was the Airbrush. I was worried it would get all over creation, so I stood in my shower and sprayed this on me with a mirror in front of me so I could see what the heck I was doing. It certainly has a very fine mist, making applying this stuff super easy and effortless. It goes on nicely and if you see a spot that you messed up or sprayed too much, you can just rub in quickly with your gloved hands. It is easy to spray this on the top of your shoulders and top of back, but my hubby had to do my lower back area, as I could not reach that part. This has a pleasant scent to it and when it developed, it was not stinky either. The next day I was sporting a nice tan look. This was not as deep of a tan as the Beyond Bronze Self-Tan, but it was nice and healthy looking on my skin, not orange or streaky. I was pleased! This tan lasted the same, about three days before I noticed I needed to apply more!

 

Last one I tried, was the Beyond Bronze Self-Tanning Mousse! This was is unique, because it is mousse! Was not sure how this would turn out! When you apply it, spray about a golf ball size on my forearm and started rubbing it in right away. I blended it up my arm to my shoulders and all around the inside and outside of my arms. You must do this one quickly, for some reason the mousse tends to dry a lot quicker then the other sunless tanners I have tried. Probably because it is soooo airy and light feeling, which is great too if you don’t like a greasy or heavy sunless tanner on you. Since it dries very quickly, you can dress faster and not worry about the self-tanner to dry. The mousse is a caramel color and that is how it will go on. You can see where it is going, which is so helpful and you will be tan right away. It has a pleasant scent like the other ones, and doesn’t have a foul sunless tanner scent after it has developed. This tan can be washed away a little bit, the next day in the shower. But, you will still have a nice healthy tan, even though some will wash off. This is great for if you are unsure about self-tanners but would like to try one out. It is subtle but totally beautiful and believable! Just shake it really good before using and you are good to go. Oh, and follow my directions above on how to apply sunless tanner to the tops of your hands!

Gorgeous Diamond Jewelry!

Anytime is a good time to receive gorgeous jewelry. From pendants and earrings to engagement rings (I already got one of those ;) ) and bracelets, ya, I will accept those kinds of gifts any day of the year :)

The engagement ring mention above made me remember something I MUST share with you all…. Do you know that my hubby NEVER proposed to me. Yep, there, it is out of the bag! He never got down on his knee, nor did he ask my father for my hand in marriage nor did he do anything remotely special, LOL. We just knew…

He gave me a diamond ring on my birthday, I just turned 21 years old and man I was happy. He said it was NOT an engagement ring, I begged to differ ;) I told everyone it was, he never spoke up and said otherwise, so ya, we were gonna get hitched ;)

Ha! It is really funny looking back at that. I just did not care if he proposed, either did he, obviously! But, it did not matter, because when you know, you just know, I guess!

Anyways, just thought that was worth mentioning, huh? Now that we are married and have two beautiful little kids, I don’t need me another ring, I want a diamond necklace UK. Why on earth did I say UK after diamond necklace you asked? Because I did not know how else to say “I WANT a diamond necklace” that is why ;) Doesn’t that make sense??

 

Diamond necklaces are absolutely gorgeous in every way shape and form. My dad got my mom one on their 30th wedding anniversary!! I still remember that. He wanted to get her something very special and all of us kids helped him pick it out and give it to my mom. My mommy cried like a little baby :) She was so proud! It meant so much to her. She still wears it today, but only for the very specialist of occassions! Maybe this is why I would love one so much for myself, because my mom got one and loved it so much.

So, yes, I love flowers, always always will! But, doesn’t diamond jewellry go really really well with flowers? Maybe have a ring, bracelet or some diamond earrings hanging off the gorgeous floral bouquet? Ya, that would be nice to receive!!! I would be kind of happy :) Especially if my little ones helped daddy pick it out, then it would be super special!
